I was thinking to myself it must be pontoon by the shape and it sure looks like it could float

Re: Name the car (Game)
The 4 cylinders were called Talbot Lago Sport, the V8, a few with BMW V8's that BMW never got paid for.
When Simca took over there were a few spare shells, so they put in the Ford based Simca flathead in an effort to use up the shells.
The V8's were called Talbot Lago Americas.
Mind you, it's easy to know all this when you have a magazine article on the car.

Writing as an American I can only shake my head in disappointment. I've seen fotos of many of the non-U.S. ones before, but am always stunned that European cars weren't all great looking. You've had your share and more of weirdness, sometimes too much chrome and not able more often to make more small cars look cute. Of course, then there's the Tatra and a host of East Euro cars that defy explanation.

It's dreadful over here, with all the Miuras and Ferrari Daytonas flying past at 165.harron68 wrote:Writing as an American I can only shake my head in disappointment.
