Big rigs!!! Empty Big rigs!!!

Have two trucks on my bench. I am collecting materials for a third. Figured I'd get the cob webs out on these two before doing a commission build for Canadian Freightways.
Long frame has been stretched and is a Western Star. I figured I've build enough 1:1 parts for these trucks over the 12.5 years I worked for a metal shop I should build a 1/24th version. Kinda a down memory lane build for me. The kit is a Heller kit with plastic tires. I just wasn't feeling the plastic tires so bought and installed an aftermarket set. Other than that it is so far box stock.

The shorter kit is a IH Prostar. Also box stock so far. A little heat treatment to the exhaust..... I suck at weathering.... Thought I'd try for a change. it will be hidden........

Wow a double Rig build, never seen a double rig build before. Both look great! Good to see you back Bret.

Since they're commission builds maybe showroom new look is preferred, but a little dark paint thin wash on engine areas can both bring out molded details and add realistic "used" look. Just my opinion.

Very nice start on this Brent. I don't think anyone ever feels plastic wheels, glad you got those upgraded.
