Yamaha YZR500 01 Carlos Checa

I started this build 7 years ago and just finished it up last night. Built mostly OOB except for the Crazy Modeler tobacco decals. Painted with TS-49 decanted and sprayed through an airbrush.

Oh man I have no idea how I missed this Paul, sorry buddy. At one point I thought is was Coles build.

We had our monthly model meeting last nite and since Derek had a photo space set up, I took some more pics. I'm not sure if I like the silver or gold background better.

They look kinda grainy on my screen, but I like the silver.

Beautiful bike! And my vote goes with the silver - there is a loss of contrast with the red body parts and the gold so it looks a touch muddy.
