Millenium Falcon...........
............. coolest ship galaxy in is it!!!
Revell 1:241 kit. Apart from one fit issue it goes together perfectly. Just twenty parts including two for the stand.
I wanted to give it a bit of a darker more sinister look, so applied a heavy blackwash, then kept on wiping it off with a cotton bud dampened with meths, until I had it where I wanted.
Then I painted some lighter panels and washed those too and finally did some dry brushing with Tamiya metallic grey.
Revel supply decals for the red panels but I chose to paint them instead, I think the look better this way.
They also supply an interior to go in the cockpit but it's not much more than an amorphous blob and could hardly be seen anyway. So I simply sprayed the canopy black and picked out the 'metal work' with a fine brush. I think it looks better this way.

Man is that tinny, the washes and weathering looks great, super work picking out the cockpit framing.

Thanks guys.
I forgot to say, that I wanted to add some exhaust soot stains around the exhaust ports but all of my weathering powders are packed away in the container (that sounds a familiar story at the mo) so I'll have to do it later in the year.

Great work, Al. Very nice wash work to bring out the details.
Soot stains? I'm not up on the technicals, but did it use carbon based fuels?

Mike, you're right, such advanced technology wouldn't used carbon based fuels but looking on the web, quite a lot show exhaust stains, which although probably incorrect, does at least look cool!! LOL

Turned out great Al. I never realized just how small it is. The washes really brought out the detail.
