Airfix ... 1:32 Aston Martin DBR9 Gulf
Finished !!!!
Story is..... le mans 2008, two unknown Scottish drivers raced ... First Ben Doon had an "off" and damaged the front drivers quarter, headlight and windscreen and Phil McCavity spent more time off the track than on .... particularly rainy and dusty track at the time.
Hence the state of the car .....
I know it says OOB but i couldn't leave the filler caps at they were so made my own ....... ho hum

That looks cool Colin, I like the wipe mark by the filler. Not sure how I missed this for an entire week, sorry. Nice job hiding the trouble you had.

Brilliant weathering! It looks way better than one would suspect from a "basic" 1/32 kit. Side view thru wheels reveals discs. Except for headlights the model is quite the thing, thanx!

Thanks guys
Harron ... Yep, they look rubbish. The headlights were painted with a yellow translucent paint, but it ended up drying solid, maybe the silver under coat reacted in some way.
By the time it had dried overnight I had the lenses on and so had to leave it, was even thinking of tinting the lenses to hide the yellow.

I think you did a grand job on it Colin, it has that fresh from Le mans on a wet weekend look to it.

Absolutely beautiful job on the weathering Colin. Did you also do the chassis?

As it's kerbside, I cheated and so no I didn't just apart from a little dry brush
It could be easily remedied though as it's pretty flat and boring under there.
Thanks for the comment
