Citroen 15cv.... with a little twist!!
Heller kit:
The twist?............ well most of them appear to have been painted boring old black....... so this one is going to get a two tone paint job. Metallic on the bottom with a white roof. The wheels wlll be parted out for some big modern Torque Thrusts big and littles (Yes I know!!!! LOL) and I may try to lower the front suspension too. Oh! and the rear fenders will stay but the front ones will go.
When I bought the kit, I originally intended to convert it to rear wheel drive with a big ass V8 up front but that's a tad ambitious for my current limited facilities............. so the original in line six banger will stay.

It will make a change from boring old black that's for sure. I'm thinking electric blue or candy apple red. Either way, it will have a white roof methinks.
Before it gets to the paint stage however, it looks like I have some work to do. The ride height at the rear is fine but the front needs too go down.
The track will need narrowing at both ends to methinks.
Meanwhile, my build buddy is keeping an eye on me!!

Re: Citroen 15cv.... with a little twist!!
That's a bit radical for you Al!!
You have a 6 Cylinder fwd, mock up a fwd V8 and see if it fits?
Oldsmobile did it with the Toronodo back in the 60's, not sure where the gearbox was, could have been under the engine.
The US Contingent will know I'd imagine. or whoever googles it first! LOL

Red or Blue????? hmmmm ..... candy red for me i think ... would compliment the body shape and wheel design (i take it they're staying chrome?)
Front definitely needs to come down a little bit more than a tad :)
And track ... well the picture says it all really eh!!

Thanks everyone.
Radical for me??? All I can say Shay is: Look Here
Opinion appears to be split on the stance........... which now has me thinking. Maybe I should make it into a gasser!! You'll just have to wait and see. LOL

I am thinking that full fendered might look better than no fronts.

Re: Citroen 15cv.... with a little twist!!
I got both colours laid in the last couple of days and cleared to-day.
Locally, I couldn't get metallic red or metallic electric blue either. Thought about metallic yellow but couldn't get that neither.
So it's painted with Hycote Vauxhall Breeze Blue over Hycote white and cleared with Promatic clear.
The demarcation line is not as crisp as I would like but it's staying.

Seconded. Al, you're keeping the original boat anchor engine? Turbo/ supercharged maybe? At least a Weber & extractors ( thats headers to most of you lot)

Re: Citroen 15cv.... with a little twist!!
Thanks all.
Yeah! I'm really impressed with this rattle can Promatic clear. Just two coats and no polishing. That will do for me.
Chris..... my original plan for it was to drop in a V8 and convert to RWD. However, all my gear is packed away since the flood so the 'boat anchor' is staying, the same for the fuel system. The manifold too will have to stay but I'm going to try and bring it out the front right side without a silencer.!!!
