A mate ( yes, I have some, so there!) send me a link to this forum.

Here's a sample:

And some 'ute' conversions. The Buick is owned by a fellow member of V8Buick, the Zepher/Zodiac is a back-in-the-day NZ conversion, I think.

And now for something completely different, the 1958 Bulgemobile, with link. http://www.diyautoftw.com/showthread.php?83-From-the-mind-of-Bruce-McCall-The-1958-Bulgemobile

Nice site an photos Chris but the chopped Mini with the high wing just looks positively silly. Not to say dangerous. Taken in 1969, the year F! were running with high wings...... LOL

Love the Bulgemobile ad.

Yep, the Nova's looks today look classic.  Back then it was an econobox unless upgraded.  The last few warm days I've seen a few "odd rods," one a mini pickup with top sliced off, tonneau cover and weird plastic side panels a la 1970s I.M.S.A. racer.  One never knows what'll turn up on a rare warm sunny day!
