Re: Back on the bench, sorta.
I never got to you Al, sorry. I kinda figured it was something to do with the "handshake" between the iPad and servimg.com. I also thought how was I going to send you screen shots when uploading pics is the trouble.
Anyway, there still is a communication glitch between the iPad and servimg.com, it takes about 4-5 tries to complete the upload as per Ashes findings. It took me 1.5 hrs to up load the WIP pics tonight.

Plastic Freak wrote:Lol, that's pretty cool Paul, what gearing are you running? If you were really had core you'd go fixie and complete brake less.
I'm running a 45 x 16 on the s/s side. If I flop the hub, it's fixie at 45 x 17

You are mental. you rock. I've never road a fixie.
I used to ride with a guy 10 yrs ago who road our crazy ass tech rock trails here with a fixed gear MTB during early winter in Shimano SPD sandals and wool socks.

That was my Halloween costume.
I cast a bunch of machine tool parts, huge Allen heads and just random stuff, then use movie quality glue to attach it to my face and hot glue for everything else.
The armour is the actual armour I use when riding super aggressive Down Hill trail. And ya I shaved my head.
It was a ton of fun making all the molds then casting all the bits and during the party. I won best costume. The funny part was as the night wore on and with so many people is was crazy hot and I kept loosing bits here and there, the running joke was I was slowly turning back into human form.
Next year I am going to do the same but with a twist. I will be going as Hunter S Thompson/Borg. Should get a few laughs.

Hey Curt. Still building but very slowly a combination of busy in other parts of my life and weakening eyesight, a real PIA when working with tiny 1/700 scale bits.

Re: Back on the bench, sorta.
I here ya on the eyesight issue. My eyes have gone down hill really fast the past few years. 5yrs ago I was using 1.5 reading glasses to build, now I am using 3.5.

Re: Back on the bench, sorta.
such a pain to have to use two pair of glasses just to build. one for the actual work and another to read the instructions and find the right paint. Lol at least I am in good company.
