1970 Olds restoration.
After I finished the 72 Oldsmobile 442 & put it in the Olds/Buick cabinet, I noticed how shabby the '70 442 was. Its the old Jo-Han kit, and I can't tell you when I built it, since it was before I started putting dates on my builds. Its also pre BMF. So, some time in the late 1980s I guess.
Its not bad old kit, granted the interior had moulded in seats, & console, and the chassis is one piece. The engine is crisply moulded though, and the over all proportions are good.
So here are the before pics, as dragged from its resting place, before its caustic soda ordeal.

Sometimes it's a good idea to "upgrade" an old model. The old model was plain. The new one is not! Thanx!

The new wheels look better IMO anyway.
The old ones looked like Pontiac Rally's or Ford Magnum 500s.
