Oldsmobile 442
Revell's Olds 442/ Hurst Olds convertible. Mostly OOTB, all I've added is the plug wires. Heater, fuel & brake vacuum to come.
Paint is auto store flat white for the interior, & Tamiya Mica Blue on the body. Gotta polish it yet.
I hate painting the bodies, so that's why it has sat around for 6 or more months. I'm very happy with it so far.
And good to see more Oldsmobiles kits out there. There's a zillion Chevs & Fords, so I'm pleased to see the odd Olds/Buick/Cadillac kit.

Good point. And paint the fuel tank too. I might get keen & polish it tonight. Or not......

Looking good. A lot of the under hood area is black too. The fan shroud/top radiator mount and the cowl are all black on those years.

I like the extra work on painting the interior, always a big plus in ragtops. I don't remember if u mentioned having an air brush. They can take a lot of the stress from body painting since they don't have the "full on" spray of rattle cans. I agree on the tiresome super fine sandpaper rubbing and polishing that seems necessary as skills have improved over time. That's one of the reasons I lost interest in building years ago.

Acres of black, of varying gloss texture. Fibreglass, ABS & good old satin black. Thanks for the pic too, its the best one I've seen. The pics were at test fit, the under hood is now black. The blue has polished out nicely too.
BMF tomorrow, transfers later in the week.
Harron, the paint is rattle can. I keep meaning to buy a decent airbrush, but I always find something else to
spend my hard earned/ill gotten money on.
