1931 Model A - Monogram
This one is a completion of a Monogram '31 Model A Rat Rod. I was building it as an almost stock Tudor. I swapped the stock 4 cyl. for a flathead and swapped the wheels from a Monogram Mercedes 540K (oversized and handpainted whitewalls). Everything was going well til I hit the door hinges - then it went back in the box. I took Al's advice and just glued the doors shut. The hinges for the hood did work OK though. It's painted in a tricolor scheme. Sorry there's no WIP on this one - it's been sitting in the unfinished box for quite a while. Not too many closeups due to flaws everywhere. But at least its going on the shelf instead of back in limbo.
Hope you like it,
Mike

Ditto from me Mike.
Striking colours but they work.

Very nicely done, I'm not a fan of old cars but the wheels really suit and the colour scheme does too,
Bravo Mike

Looks great to my eye Mike. I really like the pre hot rod style where it is different than stock but very subtly. Well done sir.

Very nice. Those door hinges can be a real pain, I'll bet 99% get glues shut. Great color choices.

The later more spoked Mercedes wheels stand out. Not sure I like that, maybe black or body color would show them off less. A dual carb early V-8 makes it almost an early rod! Cool.

Still looks very nice for the shelf and it's much better there than in its box. Good job on it!
