Nice. I have seen people respoke wire wheels before but never tried it myself. Maybe a short tutorial? Or some input on how you go about it?

Wheels are SO HARD, any attempt is success. I think the finished one is fine. The textured body work I am not familiar with, so I have to google it and learn!

Re: 1/12Airfix Bentley 4.5 liter blower
Well thanks for following along I dont see my boss's husband buying this now, and I've gone and taken a commission from my boss now I feel guilty now she's paid for the models and I've bought them but I've obviously not got the skills to deliver, I must have been mad to agree. I've ruined the Bentley , I will finish it but it certainly won't be on display anywhere.
These next three pics show whats gone wrong(yes I know I could get a new body from Airfix and some decals) but to be honest I cant be asked I've lost all interest in it now, I will finish it but just to say its done and get it out the way.

Hi Ken
Not sure if it will work but maybe it could be worth a go? I would try duplicating what you did on a piece of plastic card including painting, then use it on that before you try it on the body?? Half way down the post it mentions fabric and plastic.

Hi all fixed it put super glue in my revell precision glue pot made a little hole in the air bubble and filled it with superglue then gently squeezed the excess air and glue out, I fixed the decale with a hairdrier set on maximum(I figured the body was ruined anyway) then pressed the decals down.

Re: 1/12Airfix Bentley 4.5 liter blower
Hi all not much of an update (these wheels I wish I hadn't started, still I'm getting better with each one, By the time I've done the last one I will be pretty good at it).
Just to show I am still working on it.

Happy days, looks very tedious rebuilding the wheels.. Im a sprinter and they would make me walk, then I would rush and viola... Destroyed!!

Many hours and much patience! Congrats on the windup. The wire wheels deserve special praise for they are a bear to tackle and you did them well!

Re: 1/12Airfix Bentley 4.5 liter blower
Hi all another update, not long left on this build.
The trouble with all the sprues being in one bag together is that when they knock against each other bits fall off the sprue and you end up with a box full of loose bits. I have discovered that one of the mud guard stays is missing so have had to make one, being a reverse of the one I have it was quite confusing to do but I have managed.
also don't like the mesh over the lights so put some real mesh on them

Re: 1/12Airfix Bentley 4.5 liter blower
Hi all, well finally I'm calling this finished.
I know it's a bit of a let down and a bit disappointing, but its not down to the kit, its down to my modeling, so there it is, I cant do any better so I should be happy with it but i'm not.

Hi all I have decided to put this in the spares drawer as I can see lots of uses for the parts in other dios. Thanks for following along with the build and taking the time to look

Re: 1/12Airfix Bentley 4.5 liter blower
Well its out of the spares drawer and put together again. My missus told my boss it was finished and she told her husband so he insisted on seeing it, I told him I was not at all happy with it but he insisted so I fixed it up and showed him, he loved it as did my boss he wants to buy it, I don't know what to charge so have left it to him, he asked how much the kit was and said he will have a think and decide how much. That's fine by me as whatever he pays will go towards another kit.
