TV Tommy Ivo Dragster---AMT 1/25 kit
Hello, fairly new here. I would have posted a WIP but been real busy, just moved
from New England to Florida last year and finally bought a place and got settled
in. I finished this last week, LOTS of nutty putty to fill long seams of the body.
A first for me, I wired the engine. I started building models back in the mid 60's
in my early teens. I did a lot of AMT 3 in 1 kits. Then got heavily into military
ships, planes, tanks. Now gone full circle back to my roots, cars. I have also
done LOTS of Revell NASCAR, big Jr fan here.---John

Nice color combo and good on wiring the engine! Thanx, I see the kit box in background, a help for anyone wondering what the kit is. Smooth paint!

Nice one John.
Not hard to do and IMO, it makes a HUGE difference to a model.

What a nice looking car. I have never built this kit, mainly because people have told me so many negative things about it. You really knocked it out of the park.

Thanks for the comments, it wasn't easy but not real hard to do when you
put your mind to it. It had no distributor cap, the body had huge gaps,
the chrome parts weren't all that good and the headers were 2 piece and not
chromed, really poor fit, it took me a while to figure that out, real head scratcher.
Here are some build pictures. The hardest part was filling, sanding, filling, sanding, you
get the idea.---John

Re: TV Tommy Ivo Dragster---AMT 1/25 kit
Putty work is always a test of patience. When I built I would slip in a few easy models between major work builds. Like anything, doing it more and more builds patience and determination. The better equipment (much finer grades of sanding things, from paper, to sticks) paints and polishing products help a lot. Sealing top and bottom halves helps the usual poor fit of those longbodies.
