KM Scharnhorst
I started building this kit back in June/July. It is the old Tamiya kit of the Scharnhorst which was released back in the 1970s. I think it is still a good kit today. I will paint the kit in the camouflage pattern it wore during the Channel Dash in 1942. I finished this kit about 2 weeks ago and I will post those pictures tomorrow.

Looks like a good start to me. I/700th I am going to have to buy one of these kits just to see how big they really are. Love your work.

Re: KM Scharnhorst
Ships are a problem as, at smaller scales, detail becomes less distinct and they're too big for our common scales. My only adult venture was the Cousteau "calypso?" a refitted mine sweeper. It worked out well and I was able to detail the copter and other things. Good luck on the windup!
I recently met a man who, now retired at 64, paints military figures for customers. His latest is doing a bunch of crusaders he bought . . . in 1/285th scale. Very precise painting there!
