'53 Ford Ramp Truck
I was sure I had popped this on a thread on here, but can't find it - I did start it around Christmas !
I'm in the process of building it on the Truck Forum, it was originally to be a drop-side truck, but plans changed.
The '53 cab is on a scratchbuilt chassis with wheels/tyres I moulded in resin - but now it almost finished,
but still requiring mirrors, taillights and indicators on top of the front wings....here it is :
...and I must finish the Fairlane too !

You're right Clay, I knew I had posted something before.

Re: '53 Ford Ramp Truck
Wheels were cast in resin from moulds I made using wheel/tyre combo from Monograms old Land Rover kit,
and a Military pattern Italeri.
These are a couple of my first attempts, but air in the resin creates holes which need to be filled.
Chassis is made from Plastic Rod, Angle and sheet stock - using the '53 axles/springs.
Big engine fitted...and the intended body.
...and finally the ramp body was thrown together !

Ramp truck is a thing of wonderment! Great work planning the whole chassis and ramp. Casting your own wheels is both a great way to save money and a point of pride in doing it yourself! Top marks on this one!
