Re: Ford photo collection
Thanks John there are some great pics there. I really like that Model Y that was built for Australia. Looks like an American Bantam. Never seen one before.

Re: Ford photo collection
Interesting site John. Thanks for posting. Love the Raceabout T.
Buck, the Model Y was a British Ford built between 32 and 37. Built in Britain and also under license in Germany and France. Not as popular as the Austin Seven with just 175,000 built, which makes it as rare as rocky horse do da to-day.
Although it wasn't commonplace when I was teenager, there were still some around. Can't remember when I last saw one, even in museums and shows.
It's a shame it was never kitted.
Thanks for invoking the memory John.

Re: Ford photo collection
That's a great selection of photos, thanks for sharing.
There's something about that lime green '27 sedan that screams "you need one Colin!!!"
Obviously I'd have to sell the missus, the dog and a kidney or two first.

Re: Ford photo collection
Ford really turned out some Iconic cars on the past, didn't they ?
Cheers for the link.
In my brief fling at Stock Car Racing in the early '70's,
there were still a few Model Y Fords being smashed to bits on the track.
Notice the reversed rims,
- turning the wheels around to give a wider track and better stability.
