This kit has some very nice detail. I just have to be carefull though because some of the parts are very fragile.
Got the engine completed and in the chassis.

Re: Willys Jeep
Nice work. I remember when I put a 4 cylinder Chevy II engine into my jeep. when I got the front sheet metal off of it and pulled the stock engine out. There was a big Ford Logo on the round cross member up front. I thought "What the Hell". Then my Step Dad told me about Ford building the Jeeps because Willys couldn't supply that number needed to the Military. All the parts were interchangeable. It was great fun playing with that Jeep. I belonged to a Search and Rescue 4X4 Club. This build is stirring the memory pot. Thanks.

Re: Willys Jeep
I believe that's correct on other companies also doing the Jeeps. We needed a mess of them and when Willys got the contract, there was no way that little company could supply enough for the war. After the war, one could buy a brand new Jeep for a pittance. I remember seeing ads in magazines since by the end there were plenty "dressed up for war with no place to go."

Thanks guys.
I sprayed everything olive-drab. Got some of the body assembled. I keep seeing things I need to touch up in the photos.
