ITC Grumman Goose 1/48
ahoy
Here is a build I finished up on 4 months ago I had this since 1957 This kit don't exist anymore I heard Lindberg bought out the ITC molds . The original ITC kit as the one modeled here use to be a gimmick model back in the nifty fifties there were a lot of gimmick kits with these features it was a must for the youngsters who enjoyed model aviation...........Now days they are overlooked and thought as toys. This kit had a electric motor that operated the props as the ship taxies on the ground pure gimmick for the day but very interesting in designing these model to operate like the real thing. The Mono0gram Grumman GulfHawk for example is the best gimmick model ever produced with its retracting landing gear that retracted on the sides of the fuselage very interesting in how the landing gear retracted on the real machine. Okay just rambling back to the kit before construction began I removed all of the internal motor mount that housed the electric motor......... I made a complete interior with pilot seats consols and other details the original kit gave you a pilot with the molded in seat no compartment flooring at all crumby by todays standards, Once all of these details were added the painting came in and the rest of the assembly. Here is my Goose.

SWEET!!
I don't build model planes, but I sure am appreciating your builds, Franklyn !!
I was one of those dork kids back in the 40's who would throw together a cheap bubber band powered balsa and paper model, wind it up, and set it on fire, and launch it
In fact, I'm enjoying this entire airplane catagory!

Great plane! I've seen this kit assembled once in my lifetime. This is the second one. Excellent work! 8)
