Hello fellow comrade,s
Hi my name is Tony. Just new to the Forum so please be gentle I,m trying to find my feet at the moment on how to find my way about.
I,ve been back into moddeling for about the past 8 year or so. My main poison is Trucks (Big Rig) in 1/24th and 1/25th scale mainly kits but have done a few scratch builds on trailers and bodies. I,ve also got a few car kits in progress at the moment.

Super! As a former builder who always had fears of tackling trucks (engine areas, colors and plumbing) I welcome any builds and kit bashing of anything. Have fun and stay with us, good modelers are needed and appreciated.

Tony, welcome to Skid's Place. Since I also like trucks (used to work designing them for 34 years), I am interested to see your work!

Here is one of my favorite builds I done it took approx 18 month start to finnish. It is of a windmill tractor and the trailer. The trailer is a entire scratch build exept the wheels. The rear section of the trailer has 7 axles 6 of which have propotional steering the greater on the 1st and 7th axles for better cornering at T juntions, roundabouts ect.
Another is this I did as a commisson although as a rule I try not to take them in as I try to keep my hobbie and work seperate

Volvo F88 a true classic :D and the real truck.

You can just make the kit out sitting on the fuel tank.
Now for some real old school a Bedford OB horsebox and teardrop caravan. The backbody and caravan are yet again built from scratch this time I used wood rarther than plastic.

and a couple of WIP pictures

I could keep on going with photos of my builds but it would end up about 10 page,s long :affraid: so I,ll stop here for now.
By the way for everone,s interest I live in a small market town called Tow Law and for those who know of the place yes all the snow up here has melted
Cheers for having me Tony.

Re: Hello fellow comrade,s
Hi Chris. I also built the tipper version for a friend over near Al. As the lad usualy does decals for my rigs. The horsebox is on the LWB dropside chassie though as the tipper would have ment chopping the frame and extending it. Ermar are bringing two more versions out sometime this year a wrecker and a tanker. Here is the bonus with the wrecker you still get the tipper body and with the tanker you get two tank version options and the dropside body :D so I am told. Sorry I can,t leak any more info on them as to release date as a fellow modeler is on building the prototype,s at the moment and sorting the build instructions out. I will get a better idea when I go to a truck model show at Gaydon in June.
