The Stig HD03-0336
Waiting for paint to dry I pulled out this little fellow. I’ve never done a figure before and this will look nice stood in my cabinet
It’s from my part started collection and I didn’t do very well with it previously.
In the box you get 2 heads one with a moulded visor and one without. Kinda liking the idea of a part open visor on his head and maybe the helmet sat on a car somewhere, we’ll see
You get a couple of decals and a transparent bit with visor shapes drawn on, which I assume you paint to tint it.
My previous effort after some rubbing down to try to thin down the mess.
Primed it then I found seam lines so needs another going over.
He looks to be flat white but I think it’ll be too much so I’m using this instead it’s kinda off white. Don’t know how to make shadows and stuff so I’m off to watch a few YouTube vids and find out.
Cheers

I've never, ever, wanted to attempt one of those. More power too you.

They aren’t my thing either and I’ve no idea what I’m supposed to do with it. It’s another great idea of mine which will surely go wrong
I’d like to do a diorama too one day but of what, how or when i don’t know.

This is different,
.....Going by my attempts at figures - it’s painting the base colour the medium shade, add shadows with a darker shade then dry brush the lighter areas. That is only a generalisation mind you, with a brush, but it’s something of a pleasant break from vehicles.

Years ago, on another site, there was a guy that. Built figurines. He would post one from time to time. He was into anime, that was a little more risqué. His flesh tones and shadowing were unbelievable.

The vids I’ve watched are all brush painted in that sort of way Ron so My plans are already going down the drain
There’s a guy called Carlos on Facebook which I bumped into somewhere and he is a figure painting god.
The same, skin looks way too good to be done by a real person.
I guess if you didn’t make cars and bikes and did figures instead for all these years you’d be god tier too
There are some really decent warhammer painters on YouTube, the shading and details are amazing, can’t tell it’s brush painted whatsoever.
Too many things to try but enough years or cash to master them all.
