Foose Cadillac

Revells Foose Cadillac. I'd prefer a stock build, but we take what we can. Not many Cadillacs out there.  Paint is Taniya light gunmetal, awaiting polish. 

Interior is rattle can red over shot with flat clear. BMF and Milotow for some bling.

Chassis is stock. Wired the engine and added some chrome accents.

It's been an enjoyable build. Just right to clear the head after some stalled builds.

Nice start mate, I assume that's the Eldorado Can you do a convertible Chris?

Correct Shay, it's an Eldorado. The top is a separate piece, and I'll leave it odd. You could modify it to a convertible with a top boot. I'll cover the tops mounting holes with some PE or BMF.

I do like red interiors, especially on silver cars.
I don’t think I have ever built a Cadillac. Then again, I have....the Johan Hearse, which I never finished.
Cadillac to non-car people simply symbolise American cars, like Hoover for vacuum cleaners, etc. Every American car is a Cadillac.

I started one of these a while back. One of the mods I wanted/did to it was to shave the side chrome strips/spears. BUT while it looked great in primer, the spears kept re-appearing as shadows when I applied the base coat of Hiroboy paint. So I abandoned it. Totally weird!!

Happened to me too shaving a 57 Chevy, I think the answer was to clearcoat it to stop the ghost patterns coming through. Can't remember now.

I'm sure there's info on the big American site.

I've always wondered about this kit.
