Slot cars.........

.... thought you guys might like to see these. They are all built from 'white' body kits, sprayed then decaled. (ie just like we build here)

The last one (Lola T70) will be done in the David Piper livery, once I print them on decal paper.

Those are some pretty nice slot cars.

Nice work Al. Years ago I sold all my commercial 1/25-24 stuff. Just a few years ago I sold all my H.O stuff, and am now cleaning out all my 1/32 stuff. Way too many hobbies.

Yes I do Andy. I race every Tuesday night at my local slot club. We race ten classes in all on a rolling eight week programe. In addition on the LMP Le Mans and GT Lemasn nights, we have a twenty four minutes race (4 minutes in each lane) each segment of which requires at least two pit stops for fuel. Otherwise you run out of fule and further laps don't count until you stop to fuel up.

I'll post some photos of the rest of cars soon.

That sounds awesome, sadly we don't have anything like this by me, but it does sound like a great night out...

When you say white body kits, are they made from lexan and sprayed from the inside and are they 1/32 scale?

No, the regs don't allow Lexan bodies, the must be plastic, resin or styrene and be truescale. Most lexan bodies are no longer true scale these days.

This is a typical white body kit Shay. Bare body and a bag of bits to paint and assemble.
