Hurricane Mk1
Done and dusted.
I really enjoyed building this Revell kit. It's not a particularly great kit but I think it was worth the effort.
The engine is somewhat of an amorphous blob , so the cover is glued in place.
I'm not right happy with the fishing line radio wire but having had numerous attempts, I still cannot stretch sprue for toffee.!!
The kit has it's share of fit issues but nothing so serious that it should worry any experienced modeller.
I went with painted Tamiya tape on the canopy in the end. If it comes off at some point, then I'll go the mask and paint route. For now, I'm happy with it.
The decals have a nice matt finish to them, are strong and laid down well.
During the closing stages of the build, I discovered from other sites, that, despite being boxed as a Mk1, it is actualy a MkIIc, 'cos it has the cannons. To convert it back, one only has to remove the cannons and fill the holes. Well, it's to late for that so I'm calling it good.
