ICM 1/350 Grosser Kurfurst
Another long term stalled build that I've resurrected. I've since discovered that the grey is too dark. Too bad, I ain't going back now! I haven't built a ship before, and I can see why. Lots of tiny, fragile parts, and lots of repetition.
Just under 40 pieces in the boats and supports alone.
Next step is to do the redish brown anti fouling paint on the lower hull. Once that's done the secondary armament & upper deck can go on.

Looking good. Are those launches hollowed out or is it painted black to appear that way? Nice work on the boats.

Great progress! I remember the fitting of deck to hull as always being anxiety inducing, looks like you've got a handle on that. The superstructure looks superb, the spotlights immediately caught my eye.

I didn't get much bench time over the weekend, the race track beckoned. I did manage a couple of hours today, so here's the update. The superstructure is on for the photo, I still have some detail to add & some more paint. I gave up counting after 100, but there's lots of tiny details to paint on the decks.

I thought I'd resized it to 2000 x 1000 pixels? Is that still too large a file?

Re: ICM 1/350 Grosser Kurfurst
The site used to automatically resize pics I think Curt to 640 x 600 or something?
Seems not anymore, missed your post Webby.
It's been so long since I put up pics, I remember having to resize them down for escale, and 640 x 600 or whatever it was worked here too.

Excellent work! The teeny little things, numerous as they are, really add to the look and feel of a ship at that scale.

From my recent experience it would only auto resize them once you clicked on the 640x.....moving forward there should then auto resize every time you post pics.
Going back over the past couple of years it has never resized the picture when posted, it does however auto resize the file, where as before we had to manually perform that.
Now an image can be 3meg and still get uploaded.
I'll look into a system wide auto setting.

It is too big,.
The purpose of the 640x pic size is so the image can be seen on the entire screen without having to scroll to the right.
Moving forward please click the 640 in the pic upload. It should stay set when you upload more.
