The situation there sounds and looks somewhat intense. A friend in Glasgow sent me a link to a video of some crazy Scot setting out a towel and sunbathing on a snow drift ... egads. Hope it settles and everyone there gets dug out soonest.

I hope you have your shovel waxed up Al! Certainly out of the norm it seems for the UK, On the East Coast of Canada we've had hardly any winter this year, couple good storms then it melted off, many days were +15 and sunny here. Definitely odd.

what a difference 24 hours make.......temp has gone up 10 degrees and it is nearly all gone!!!

All gone here too......... AND........ the river is just at .99m and dropping. Incredible, given the amount of snow we had on the hills. Yippeeee!!!!

Snow there reminds me of the old TV series "All Creatures..." where lambing time was always cold and wet with snow and/or rain.

where that was filmed is about 60 miles west of me and about 60 miles south from Al
