Another ebay promo model, and, boy, is the plastic brittle. Arrived damaged, but a new bumper is on the way,and some fabrication & filler will repair a small rear quarter area I tried to get the front seats out, succeeded in breaking the backrest of one, so I gave up that struggle. Getting the dash out broke a large chunk of the passenger door trim out, So I quit before I did any more damage. Now if someone would make a 1/25 Vauxhall Chevette or Holden Gemini.............. Here's the WIP thus far. Floorpan before: And after: Interior before: And after:

The MPC company came out with some decent Chevette kits back in the day. I always wanted to convert one to a Vauxhall rally car, but by then I'd gotten out of building. I wish u the best with the kit. Not many Chevettes built!

Go harron! The interior looks like you spent a good amount of time on it.

Weekend update. I've been busy with a Lockheed Connie build for a mate so I not much time has gone into the Chevette. I got stuck in yesterday and repaired the damage to the RHR corner. I've had to sacrifice the side marker light, nothing that some BMF & clear red won't hide.

Great work! The brittle plastic issue can often be a stopper but you've handled it brilliantly.

PITA. Got it painted, gassed out and was giving it a trial fit. LH front guard/wing/fender broke off. Not impressed at all. Especially when it was after other damage repair, sand & paint. It nearly went under my boot, I'm sure it would have shattered in a most satisfying way. Instead its mouldering at the back of my stash, far from my wrath. t
