1990 Ford F350 Extended Crew Cab
Ok, New Site, New Year, New House, and time for a.... Yep you guessed it.... new project! LoL I can't find some of the old projects that I started and I still got a lot to go through to find them. Ok, on to this build. I started with both a Ford F250 and F350 Dually kits from Revell-ogram. I marked, cut, and spliced to two cabs together to make a 4 Door Extended Cab Heavy Duty F350. I saw these in Magazines when I was growing up in the 1990's. I think some California company was building them as Specialties. I liked them so well I decided to build my own. So on to the pics.
The Two Cabs:
The Two Cabs Spliced Together - You can see some cuts in the white cab where I am going to be straightening out the window frames:
This is going to be ONE LONG TRUCK! LoL:

Now, after getting the two cabs together I moved on to extending the frame and interior tub. I glued the interior tubs to the frame to give it a unitity of strength. I also shortened the rear door panels to a close estimate of what they should be. Still gotta do some tidying up of everything and add a few braces.
The Door Panels:
The Frame:
The Tubs:
I did fill in where the Transmission Tunnel was in the rear to give it a flat floor like the Crew Cabs have in my reference pics. Everything will still go together like it should. Just going to have to extend the driveshaft and a few other bits. More to come soon. Enjoy! 8-)

Re: 1990 Ford F350 Extended Crew Cab
Sorry for the long awaited update. Work is killin' me with these 50 hours work weeks. I think I'm gonna axe the utility bed as I'm running low on styrene and I don't feel like driving 45 minutes across town to get more (gonna have to do it anyways soon). But I will attempt to build a Utility Top for the bed Less Styrene and less headache. I got a ton of body work to still get accomplished before I can even attempt to get a layer of colour on this build. At this stage you can't tell the two cabs were joined and I'm happy with that result. I added roof ribs for support as like the 1:1. Enough blabber on to the pics.
Enjoy till next time! 8-)

Re: 1990 Ford F350 Extended Crew Cab
Thanx everyone for the comments on this build!!! I've been fighting with a paint job now for 2 weeks. Everytime I've had to strip it something else would go wrong! Well it's not perfect by any means! :-[ But I'm satisfied! Not really meaning for this to be a show winning build either. Jus' something different like everything I build. Enough of my blabbin'! Here's the pics.
I love the two tone 1980's paint scheme. So I went with FoMoCo Medium Blue Pearl and FoMoCo Grey Mist Metallic. They go together well. I know it's not factory correct, but this is for me. LoL
Enjoy! 8-)
