Ford A-707 Gas Turbine Engine
Well this one is done. I was a total rookie with turbine engines and now I am a half rookie. It was a fun kit to build. Had a couple problems with it but nothing that couldn't be over come.
Ford was using the A-705 Turbine in 1964 and the A-707 in 1966. By 1970 I guess they were rare and hard to find. They were used in Big trucks, boats and stationary industrial applications. Reading the side of the box it says this engine would replace the piston and Wankel engines in passenger cars by 1980. Wrong. LOL

Where on earth did you find that kit Buck?? Talk about unusual. Nice job though.

Re: Ford A-707 Gas Turbine Engine
I found this kit at the NNL Northwest, also known as Modelfest. It was quite awhile ago. I know that Bob Paeth was still alive because I remember him razzing me about buying this kit. I think Bob passed in 2008 might have been 2007, I hate getting old. LOL
