Oh how times have changed............

........ Later this year I'll be doing a 1950's UK racetrack paddock diorama with truck, two cars and caravan. Looking for inspirational photos as to what else to include, I came across this late 60's Team Lotus photo.
The teams of today would have a pink fit. Just look at the DVF just lying there on the ground!!!

I really dig these old images. The ones of the US top fuel funny cars a and railers working in a muddy puddle struuin pit area alway amuse me.

Thats Hills 49B at silverstone if i recall correctly....
Was scrunching through the BBC archives and saw that ........ there was one where a mechanic was warming up a cooper at Oulton park ... wheels just off the grass and spinning nicely on a flip stand and directly in line were about a dozen people ... if it dropped ... oooo ya bugger!! ... no worries though there was a bit of string protecting them at ankle height lol
