Hi gents..! My brother went to a swap meet Saturday and a guy he knew had a mint condition MPC 68 Pontiac Bonneville HT kit complete for $40.oo My brother looked at it and the guy said make him an offer on it....now my brother has known I have been looking for one and some others for over 30 years now. He had his cell phone with him but did not think to get it or call me about it till he got home.... Talk about pain.... 50283314 I had him call the guy back that had it but of course it was gone....

What can work is to look for "promos" at better prices than kits. They lack engines and details, but can be a base for nice models when combined with other kit parts. Also, shows tend to have already built gluebombs that can go for very reasonable prices. Sorry about the loss of a pristine kit.

Thanks guys...I like promos very much love to restore them to original condition and collecting them too...most times I prefer them over a kit. Not real easy to find around here though and with somewhat numb fingers/hands there much easier for me to work with.
