I finished up the interior last night and I have to say I think it is nicely done by Airfix. The instrument panel decal was a joy to work with.
You got that right Paul.
The booms attach to the wings with an almost 'click' action and do not require aligning.
The whole wing then attaches to the fuselage, again with an almost 'click' action. Here it is mocked up without being glued:

Once again tiny, tiny, tiny! You definitely have my attention Al. I I honestly don't think my old eyes could handle anything that small with any degree of accuracy. You, on the other hand, are doing great.

Vampire? There's a new one on me! Cockpit indeed is amazing, no special aftermarket stuff needed, it seems. Glad it's flying along so well. BTW, when I do "close" work I use a cheapie all-in-one lighted magnifier on a movable arm with a superbright compact fluorescent bulb. It makes the tiny stuff seem big. I think it was $6 at a craft store decades ago.

Re: De Havilland Vampire in 1:72
Thanks guys.
With my recent disastrous performance, it was with a great deal of trepidation that I masked up this one. Stripping a car body is easy, stripping and aircraft with interior glued in, is altogether harder.
I needn't have worried though as it came out absolutely perfect. No creep whatsoever and more importantly, no paint lift either.
Happy camper!!!
