MiG-15.............
.......... or Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG15 bis Fagot-B to give it it's full title. (Phew!!)
When I was nobbut a nipper, the MiG-15 was my favourite jet plane. I thought they were the bees knees and until now, I have never built one.
Sprue shots:
And yes, apparently, the interior really was that colour!! (well it's my approximation actually)

Re: MiG-15.............
Yes, the early MiG's and Sabre Jets were cool looking aircraft. Fuselage in quarters? Looks like fun, Al.

Cool looking kit Al. This Trumpeter kit looks like it will go together nicely.

Re: MiG-15.............
Thanks for the info/photo John.
There seems to be some confusion here.
Trumpeter calls for 'Blue Pearl' and I have seen a number of completed models with blue cockpits:
However, now that I have researched this, most seem to be grey with a few in pale blue/green
It seems that they switched to proper blue from the MiG 21 onwards:
Going to re-sray it in grey.
Mike: Yes the fuselage is in quarters.

Re: MiG-15.............
Nice job so far
A yellow (ish) harness would show nicely through the glass and add a bit of detail Al ...
Bit of masking tape painted yellow and silver blobs on the end is all it would take

Re: MiG-15.............
Thanks guys.
Not sure about the harness Colin. Maybe, we'll see.
While waiting for my Alclad White Alluminium paint to arrive, I built up the jet engine. There were a couple of things on the side, each of which had twin 'nipples' and looked suspisciously like fuel pumps. (Well even jet engines must have them methinks LOL) so for a bit of added detail, I plumbed them in. Probably all wrong but hey ho!!

Re: MiG-15.............
This is on hold for about ten days or so, until I get the rear fuselage stand from Chris. (webby)
It's almost finished but the way I want to display/photograph it all depends on the stand from Chris.

Re: MiG-15.............
Great job so far Al. That engine looks like it could wind up at any time.
