Boss 302 Mustang
Bought this about three years ago and got it to the decal stage, when something went badly wrong with the first side stipes I put on. I got in touch with Hornby but they were unable to supply a new set, so it went back in the box.
With not a lot needed to finish it, I applied the remaining decals, stripped the bumpers and did them in Alclad Chrome and added the driver cooling hose.
Although basic (meant to double as a slot car body) the fit and quality is excellent and it could easily be completed in a day.

Cool little 1/32 scale kit. You're really pumping them out for 2105, Al.

Jeez, at first on seeing the box art, I thought it would be both not very good looking and very hard to paint in their colours. Somehow, you did it and in 1/32. Any tips in what tape to mask with??

Re: Boss 302 Mustang
Thanks both.
Mike.... been waiting on John getting his new Miniart Gaz AAA for our double build, so just been catching up on a bits and bobs. Got another to finish then on to the GAZ
Harron.... I always use tamiya masking tape but for me the real secret is to lay the tape, then shoot a couple of light coats of clear before the colour. This pretty much guarantees that if bleed under occurs, it won't be seen as it will only be the clear coat.

Re: Boss 302 Mustang
I like that, lovely little model Al.
I would, however, prefer it to be attached to a scalextrix chassis and be in MY loft waiting for the summer to arrive so I can lay the track out in the garden. Lol.

Hi Al,
This is yet another little stunner Sir, I missed seeing the scale size on the box first look and thought it was a 1/24 or 1/20 scale until I saw the last photo with the paint pot...
Top marks to you Sir...
WOW, I know I tend to sleep a lot after a Chemo session, but a 90yr sleep, that has to be one for the record books, do we have flying cars and jet packs yet...
Hope you take lots of photos when you have it up and running please Sir...

Re: Boss 302 Mustang
Very cool, Al. This is one of my favorite cars of all time. Even better to see it as a track racer. Without the bottle of paint, I would have never guessed it was a 1/32 scale.
Well done!

Re: Boss 302 Mustang
Thanks for the compliments guys.
These 1:32 Hornby kits are real fun and fast to do.
Now they also do a GT40. One on eBay right now but the guy wants an unbelieveble fifty quid for it!!
