10 weird cars for sale

I saw this article on Yahoo News this morning and thought I would share it with you. One of the cars for sale is the Fireball 500. I think Al has painted and built a couple of them.

Some quality rides there, I loved the VW 'shorty' van... Makes me want to build one :)

The Fireball 500 is in it's repaint/restoration paintwork, which is without the white to red fade job.

Yes, I did one for me then one for Sam. Both with the original fade paintwork.

Watching The Barett-Jackson is always one of my January Things to do. Problem is it runs fro a week on TV. Like 5 days. So it's hard to catch it all. I will post what the Fireball sells for if I catch it. Any Guesses? I am going to guess 50,000 US Dollars. It is a famous car, was in a movie but isn't real well known.

There have been others who have made "shorty VW Vans". There have been some at the VW shows I have attended. With a high performance motor, they must be able to pull,the front wheels off the ground pretty far. Must be a wild ride, and I bet they are spooky at any speed with the short wheelbase!

I had a shorty '56 Pickup. One that I wish I could have kept....

Somehow I missed the Auction this year. It used to be on Speed TV but since Fox bought them they don't exist anymore, so it may not have been on TV.

The Fireball 500 sold for $137,500.00 USD.
