AMX 13/105 1:76
Crappie little Heller kit which, unless you are desperate to have it your collection, I'd advise against.
Terrible vinyl tracks, terrible and ill fitting multi piece turret and poor fixing points for the wheels.
I bought it because of it's looks. The interesting thing about the 1:1 is, instead of the gun tilting for elelvation, the WHOLE turret tilts!!!
French in origin, it was designed in 1946 and went into production in 1953 and therefore probably never wore winter camo. But I didn't want another desert camo scheme as per the box art. LOL
It is what it is.

Al, you really let me down. I was expecting an AMC, AMX.

Ditto what Sam said. I like the looks of this one. Long gun barrel and the strange looking turret.

I like this, very well done considering the scale.....
Could have been in winter camo if the Russians did what they do often and "acquired" a few for thier stash

Seems if they like the look of something they'll find a way to get it into their "storage" facilities ...they just repaint them thinking we wont notice :)Skid wrote:

No apology needed Colin.

There's pictures in some military books I've come across and if you Google Russian or Soviet storage facilities (or similar) there's a good few images of "non Russian" vehicles in alternate paint jobs scattered throughout the search results if you look carefully.
I came across quite a few when I was looking for information on an armoured car I was building.

Yeh - thought it was going to be an AMC AMX / Javelin too.
I've seen these tanks before but didn't realise that they were built that early,
thought more like late '50's.
