Model of the Month Empty Model of the Month

Dave brings up a very good point here. The entries and voting in the MoM has declined to a trickle. You may have noticed that the summer months had winners picked by the staff.

So my question to all of you, (because it is your forum) is what do we want to do with MoM? Should we keep it as is? Do we have nominations for a model from someone other than the builder? Should we just bin it? Let's hear some opinions. And if you feel shy about your ideas, then by all means, PM me.

I'm also curious about why so many haven't been voting. We get at least 30 members showing up during the voting period, but only 7-9 votes being cast.

I think it's great, and although Im guilty of neglecting it on occasion, would be very sad to see it go. Without MOM we wouldn't have 'Model of the Year'. I used to make a point of checking in there first and will make a concerted effort to do that again.

Agreed. I like it as it is. I am myself guilty of neglect, especially this summer gone. I shall make more of an effort. You have my word.

Let it be. There just seems to be temporary lull in everything.

Maybe an email to all members with a link to say voting is open ? I must say this is the first time that I've ever noticed it and voted.

Russian meddling?

I find myself making the same mistake over and over. I see the MoM/MoY open for voting banner scrolling across and click on it. It only takes me to a link for the image.

What if you could click on the banner link and go straight to the voting/submission page?

I must confess to forgetting to vote. I'd like to keep the MOM &MOY as is.

Cheers,

Cole, I've been messing around in the admin area and don't see a way to do that. I would suspect it being a free forum means those kind of features aren't available.
