aoshima kit originally a battery powered toy im guessing but it is the correct body etc. to recreate my first car . will take some liberty with it tho being as tho i cant seem to find the correct wheels but the kit wheels look pretty good and seem like something my 16 year old self would have bolted on. my car was lowered dechromed and had the fender turn signals moved to the front valence which i will try to replicate thanks for looking and all the feedback you guys give and a grainy photo of the real thing circa 1992 i believe (i later filled in the rear pea shooter holes and the bumper mount holes and resprayed it the same blue )

Those wheels look pretty damn good. If you can retain the lowered stance in your mockup then it will look ace.

What the others said about the wheels and stance - very nice. Love the lines of the body, those classic Beetles are definitely unique.
