Great stuff Clay, the wings look brilliant. Should have come out the factory with those.

Very cool engine. If you're going to use a hood though, you might want to relocate the alternator and install a lower electric fan to continue the low-streamlined look.

Had considered that, Mike, but was planning on going hood less and keeping the radiator and fan shroud in relation to the engine. That means that they will protrude above the body line also. Other that that, it would mean altering the hood so severe it would destroy any illusion at all of being fairly good looking,
But, then again, I might see what I can do with rhe hood, I'll have to look when I go out into the shop tomorrow, just to check to see if I indeed, HAVE the hood. don't recall off pf the top of my head.

I do have the hood.
And so, I'll bite the bullet and see what I can do with it !!

Looking great! I like the open hood look but I'm also anticipating what you come up with in the Laboratory.

I liked the open hood look also, with the top of the radiator and fan shroud sticking up. Kinda looked serious.
But, this update seems more like a downdate ! Going backwards. Going for a hood with a reverse scoop opening. I knew I had a '50 PU hood in the salvage yard (1/24) that would have a large humped up leading edge that would accommodate the fan shroud.
The beginnings of troubles. I had to lower the radiator so the corvette hood would seat to the body properly. When that happened, the shroud would not clear the fan blade.
After 2 different engine front removals, it was apparent that I had to eliminate stuff.
I made an electric fan on the cut down radiator using the 'vette fan blade. This cleared when The alternator and pulleys were eliminated from the front of the engine.
Now I'm told that the number of simultaneous photos has bee exceeded on the hosting feature. I'll continue on the next reply.

Re: Corvette split window coupe
Here is the elec. fan setup that I concocted.
I set the 'scoop'further back, seeings as how I didn't need all that room at the front anymore. I had cut out half of those Corvette grills, and now I had to close them back up !
Seemed kinda too tall, and I was hoping to cut it down some, But, ALAS, it was already hitting the velocity stacks ! SO, now, there is no alternator,no velocity stacks, and the entire front of the engine had been reduced to one pulley at the crank to the pulleys on the Turbo units and I'm in the process of matng the scoop and hood. At least I can do body work. Maybe I can get some forward progress !

Wow, a lot of tweaking to make this mod work, I feel ya, man. But it looks good, if that's any consolation.
About the max photo thing - I just insert the photo links to the post, remove them and select the next three and so on. This has been working for me so far.

Nice work! I like how you used the 1/24th truck hood for a 1/16th hood scoop.
I ran into the max simultaneous pic thing also. I found if I added the max of three, did a preview, I could then add another three on the same post.

The mods are looking fantastic! The new body lines are so very unique, can't wait to see what comes next.

Re: Corvette split window coupe
Were no taillights in the baggie, either.
Fortunately, this old hoarder had these in the salvage yard for quite a few years ( from a couple of '50 Ford convertibles, I think) they fit this larger scale perfectly !! I remembered I had used one of them on an apocalypse build a little while back. It has been pried off for the Vette. I usually don't cannibalize former builds. But, I needed this !
