Re: Gilmore Shell
Wonderful progress! The trim thing sounds like a hassle but I'm sure you'll work it out

Re: Gilmore Shell
A trip to a 3rd eye Dr, a retina specialist, concludes that I have a blood vessel issue directly behind my right retina, causing macular degeneration. So, I am reduced to working with my left eye that normally is farsighted.
I will be plodding on with the Shell station, but , my workmanship is leaving me with a lot to be desired !
Cheers,
Geezer

Re: Gilmore Shell
This is coming along nicely Clay, sorry to hear about the sight issues. I recently had an exam, Dr, says 'did you know you have a piece of metal in your right eye'. For the past yr I have woken up with pain in that eye, turned out to be a teeny tiny piece of aluminum embedded in the iris.
Good luck with the eyes Clay. Looking forward to seeing this dio in some photos.

Re: Gilmore Shell
I need to be more observant !! What I thought was white trim all across the tops of the facades, wasn't white at all. Must have just glanced at a photo that had reflections on the top edges. Also a new look let me know that there was a thicker edge lining the top. So, I'm in the process of correcting my previous assumption by attaching a 3/16" lip to the pieces. The entire top edges are chocolate brown, like the base of the columns !

Re: Gilmore Shell
Excellent progress! And though it may not seem 'new and exciting' every little bit of work adds up to what is going to be a superb diorama.

From here that bench looks great. I know you think it could be better, but man it looks great.
