A nice color (and name for it).
Do the insides of the hatches get exterior colors?

Re: John J and Skid's Panzer build.
Interesting.
I remember one of Skid's masterful snow scenes, and my mind is going a mile a minute on how I would build one of these.
Never tried this scale. Bad enough struggling with my 1/24 stuff.
I picked up a 1/32 fire engine by mistake a while back. Been wondering if I want to try it sometime. But, I still have plenty to do without even further complicated stuff. LOL.
I'll just watch.

Re: John J and Skid's Panzer build.
Got the red-brown and green laid which makes the tri colour camo complete.
Next up will be brushing the ambush camo!!!
The purists will lambaste me for this as my research shows that the ambush camo wasn't used until the late war (1944) by which time the J version of the Panzer IV was being used. This is the D version from circa 1941..................... but what the hell!! LOL.

Thanks Mitch.
Paul...... yes, the wheels are a push fit and will come off for painting the tyres.

I'm not very good with this camo stuff, but the two pics after the ambush camo look identical to the pre ambush camo pics.

Re: John J and Skid's Panzer build.
i did have a bold and cunning plan how i was going to do the tracks but the way the bogies fit ive had to have a mega rethink, so now im this far
plan now is to build up the tracks in sections which can be painted up and fitted together once the rest of it is done

Al - the ambush camo looks great.
John - nice paint job - it almost seems a shame to disrupt it with camo, lol.
Paul - best of luck with the track re-think thing.

Re: John J and Skid's Panzer build.
sorry to say but im out of this one
made a huge mistake with the drive and trailing sprockets and didnt notice until i had 3/4 of the track links attached.....theres no way of saving it since i had to use CA for the links......and i just dont have the enthusiasm to try anyway
this is two kits in a week thats gone wrong for me.....one was my fault, the other was the kits....not happy

Bummer about the track issue, Paul. Maybe you could salvage what's already built for a dio?
