Superb build! The inner works detailing is simply fantastic and I can't get over how gorgeous that body looks!

Hello all, I would have your opinions on which way the spoiler would look best. I think I know which way I will ultimately go with it but I would like to hear your opinions please.

First - The way it was intended to be, personally I think it looks horrible.

Second - I will move it to the back.

Third - Just leave it off all together.

Beautiful work. I dig how it looks without the spoiler.

I have this same kit, I actually prepped the body and primed it.....but after seeing yours it might just get traded for something else. lol

All I can say is that the airfare would be worth it just to see your builds in person.

About the spoiler, the roof mount was part of the iconic look, but it sure does look slippery with out it.

All three are acceptable. The first is the most interesting and unique, and I'd stick with that one.

My old Toyota Supra had it's spoiler in the same location and I grew to like it.

There was only one Jota that was destroyed in an accident.

This is the only accurate recreation, no spoiler, but front air dams.

Another few were based on modified SV shells at the factory,

I may be wrong, but any Classic car mags I've read back it up, the kit may be incorrect considering the Countach was well in production by 1975.

It's a tricky subject I suppose Dave, do it what ever way you really want, it's going to be gorgeous anyway.

It may have been that there wasn't enough super structure to support the down force if the spoiler was mounted in the more traditional spot of on the tail. The top mounting may have been the best place to support the down force and or even out the force over the middle of the car. Either way, nothing in racing is just for looks, its to make it go faster...

I like it better with it off entirely but that's me.

The Jota has sexy rear fenders but the lines over all of the Muira are just better.

1975 Lamborghini Jota (Hasegawa) - Page 3 1705482731 Hi Dave, I have really enjoyed watching this one come together.
Many thanks for sharing the build.
Those wheels have come out stunning.
Were they with the kit or aftermarket?
Either way the result is outstanding.
The glass is beautiful.
Ride height is killer.
It really is a lovely finish, and something to be proud of.
Great choice of colour.
In the end it's your build and only you can decide about the spoiler,
but I would drop it in the parts bin.
Once the Jota is in the display cabinet, you will never think there's something missing when you walk by and look at this replica.
You'll just think how sweet it looks, because it does!
I have a 1/12 Lotus 78 F1 with no side skirts for the same reason - it looks great without them, but crap with them,
and I always want every completed car to look great on display.
Your Jota looks great without the spoiler.
Lamborghini engineers couldn't fit any spoiler on the rear of the Miura because the engine cover clips weren't strong enough (rear flips open).
I'm glad the mock credit card thing worked, but can't take any credit for that (sorry).
I picked that tip up about 4 years ago in the tips 'n tech section of ScaleAutoMag.
You have made a beautiful build out of a very average kit, which is the only game in town for these classic Lambos.
The credit is all yours, Dave

Having seen all the options and discussions I have to say my personal opinion is the No Spoiler look. The spoiler in this case detracts from the simple line of the body, a case where Less is More.
