Re: Air Fix 1/144 Boeing 727
Once again thanks guys for taking the time to read the posts and the very kind comments and support. Sara's Mom (Jenn) said Sara didn't stop talking for two days about how much fun she had. We are planning on getting her a Tamiya airliner kit for Christmas. Given the quality and fit of a Tamiya kit I am hoping her mom can help her at home with the assembly.

Well due to broken families this is our family Christmas weekend so it's build time.
I did the main separation line mask and the centre "engine" trim ring mask, Sara did the rest with quidance and trimming of pieces from me. Masking took us a couple hours.
I then Sara her how to operate the dual action Iwata Hp-Ch air brush in order to lay down the clear seal layer. This kid is a natural, despite her motorskill challenge she managed quite well. We then moved onto the Chrome Silver with the big fan spray pattern A/B.

Re: Air Fix 1/144 Boeing 727
Thanks so much for following Guys.
Decals done. This kid keeps on impressing me and touching my heart. At first I though she would never be able to do decals. But by start of the second side she was placing and positioning and repositioning decals like a pro. This skill is supposed to be one of the hardest for these people to develop and learn.
Get this, so I give here the over head windshield cockpit decals to put on. Not wanting to stress her out too much I just tell Sara to put them above the opening on either side of "this line, this is the left one this is the right one". Sara's first try they were not that great. I had Sara take a good look at them and try and see what was the difference and do her best to make them look similar.
She originally had them too close too the centre line, one was too high and one was too low.
When I returned, they were where you see them now. She had studied the box art, re-wet them and repositioned them, a trick I had shown her earlier with one of the decals she had messed up real bad on one of the wings.
Her Mom was even impressed.
Look for it in the finished forum soon.
