1960 Impala 2 Dr
Factory stock as with most of my builds. Added the usual bits to the engine. Paint is Tamiya pure white, over auto store red & Dulcote.
There's been more BMF added since these pics, I try to do several pieces a day, since BMFing is such a high concentration job.
On an Impala binge ATM. The '96 is stalled, waiting for a replacement windscreen from the good folks at Revell.
This one is coming on well, should be the next completed build. And the Lindburg '61 Impala SS is painted & awaiting the dreaded BMF.
At least there's less to do on a drop top!

Looking good in white.
Whose model is that? The one I have doesn't have the opening trunk.

Real nice work all round, interested in seeing how this ends.
The foil work on the interior rocks!

Engine and interior really S-H-A-R-P!!!! The '60 was a step back from the radical '59 look that a lot of buyers frowned on. The rear fins were so unusual with the horizontal sweep they brought a heap of jokes, some very rude.
I like your work on the BMF too. It looks way better and is no more tedious than the brush painting we had to do with silver back in the day. Thanx!

Revell. Their 1960 Impala sport coupe & convertible have the opening boot. (as we say down under!)

It does look positively spiffing! I have held a grudge against white my whole building career, as back then all AMT kits came in white and my parents kept spray cans out of my hands. However, your glossy white is the best!
