Mako Shark Show Car
A promo kit that's been half done for ages. I disasembled it, painted & BMF'd the interior. Mica Blue is the colour, about 2 hrs old here.
I like the overall shape, but the detailing is too busy- the scoops, side pipes, etc. I didn't like the two tone paint of the 1:1 hence my colour choice.
Not much can be done here, as a curbside kit, this is all one piece. At least the paint gives it some depth & colour.

I like it!! Great color choice. I never liked the fade paint job they did on the original.

Great paint work. Concept cars can be a little over the edge at times, especially the older ones.

the only things that matter on a curbside convertible is the both and interior. You have done a great job of both.

Re: Mako Shark Show Car
Well, I ended up respraying the front half, after being too vigorous with the polish. Here it is, repainted, lowered and foiled. Just the mirrors to come, and that will be Thursday or Friday. I might repaint the wood rim & shifter, looks too flat in the pics.
I confess, the shape has grown on me, and I rather like it now, and the dash has late 1960s BMW tones to it.

Makes for a nice show car. The front hood looks quite long, which hurts the car's proportions. Your work from interior to body paint is tops. The 'Vert' works!

Beautiful build! The Mako wasn't one of my favourite 'concept' cars due to some of the issues already mentioned and you've dealt with those excellently. A definite improvement, too bad they hadn't gone that way to begin with
