1966 GTO Convertible
The slump is over, but its been too damn hot to model- at least before 8.00 PM. That said, the GTO is inching towards the finish line.
Revell' 1966 Pontiac GTO. Local toy store had it on sale for $15. So I bought it, forgetting I already had one on the shelf.
So I did the sensible thing & hacked the roof off.
I've yet to fabricate a convertible top boot to hid my C pillar butchery........
Tamiya bright red, & a light polish. All OTB, I've added plug leads & fuel lines to the Tri Power carbs. Here she is for a test fit & stance check. Currently BMFing it.

Nice job on the conversion Chris.
Maybe you could use a convertible top cover from the parts box. The irony is, I'm sure I have one in my parts box but's totally inaccessible in the container!!!!

Start looking! Schnell!! Kidding, Al. I think I have one here, that was going to go on my '96 Impala SS convertible project. Depends on which one gets finished first. Smart money is on the GTO.
Cheers,
Chris

Great looking conversion, Chris.
It's nice to finally see one without the ugly radiator wall that doubled as a chassis screw-down (MPC).

Re: 1966 GTO Convertible
Nice work on the conversion. If you don't have one in the parts box it's shouldn't be too difficult to scratch build one, just time consuming.
