1970 Mustang Boss 429 super gas drag car
I am calling this one done. It's a Revell 70 Boss Mustang with a Revell 66 Chevelle prostreet rear chassis grafted on. Wheels from one of the Revell ProMod kits and then parts box tires and decals.
Paint is DupliColor.
I tried to paint my own class numbers on the windshield instead of using a decal and I didn't like it. So I used some paint thinner to wipe it off and the windshield cracked. I knew better than this but had forgotten about paint thinner (mineral spirits) and clear plastic.
It won't dull it or haze it but it makes it very susceptible to cracking. We found that out at the school bus factory I used to work for. We had a rash of clear dash lenses cracking, we found out the detail techs where using paint thinner to wipe the some areas of the dash that had overspray on them and wiping the lenses too. Made them crack. I know I am rambling but just trying to share the info.

Good to know about the mineral spirits Mitch. Nice scheme and you did a great job of it too!

That is a very good Super gas car. All the right parts and pieces.

Nice one Mitch. The ghost checker pattern looks cool.
