'34 Ford 5 window coupe
This is the last of my "spring madness" builds. It is the old AMT
1934 Ford 5 window coupe. I am doing it stock, no custom or rod
parts, just as it was off the show room in 1934. Here is where I am
at so far. Basically just the flat head done. Still debating the color scheme.
The stock 1934 colors were Dearborn blue, Cordoba gray or Vineyard green.
I think there was also Coach maroon and good old black.---John

I have this one in my stash so I will keep an eye on your build. The Cordova grey looks pretty tan to me but I still like it.

You switched the picture while I was replying haha! That looks a lot more like gray.

Tacoma cream sounds more appropriate for this one. Either one look good but O do prefer the gray/red combo.

John for my 2 cents worth, I'd make it like the gray one with the gray wheels, wide white wall tires and a black int.

Either gray looks good to me, but the blackwall tires and red wheels look a bit low class for that car.

There must be a "color chart" for authentic Ford colors on the web. Foto is on a cloudy day and folks skin color may be a bit off. As to showroom stock, luv the '34 for looks. To me it's second only to the '36 for beauty. A shame it was during the Depression when so few were bought. Good luck!

John: Good choice of a kit. The color really doesn't matter as long as you are pleased with it. I used the same kit for the 34 on my Frenchie's diorama.
For the most part is was a pretty straight forward build with the exception of the hood and grill sub-assembly that got a bit fiddly. Have fun with it.

A number of car companies used gray. Glad you're back at this one. I remember detailing the engine on my '39-'40 sedan into the last Ford phaeton (still unfinished).
