Re: '57 Corvette
I had a busy week so I didn't get as much done as I wanted.
I have the panel lines done!
Scallop and door/seat back trims done!
The kit didn't come with decals but then again it was open when I got it. I was hoping to use the Corvette logo from the decal sheet of a 62 Corvette I have but they are a bit larger and the flags as well as the logo changed a bit from the C1 to C2. So I hand brushed the "Fuel injection" lettering and will make my own decals now that I have my printer back up and running again.
The dust sure settles fast on that purple!
Next is the final assembly and hopefully that goes smoothly

I like the black trim treatment Denis. This is going to look pretty cool when it all comes together.

Hey Denis - It looks like you are off to great start on the '57 Corvette! The paint looks smooth and clean. I like the color combo, too. Now, get it done

Re: '57 Corvette
Thanks guys!
I expected some problems with the interior and had done some adjustment prior but over compensated on the driver side. I have to fix that the best I can before putting the chassis on and do the final assembly. As I said in my first post...I wasn't expecting great things in the fitting of this one.

Gorgeous paint job! The black is really eye catching and 'sinister' in a cool way.

The black chrome gives a very cool look to a classic old design. Nice twist.

I completed this WIP somewhat abruptly so when I get the pictures posted I will run down the details of what I used to complete this model.

Thanks Ace!
I got sick and haven't been able to use the long weekend to get the materials I need for a photo booth so the completed pictures are still waiting to be done.
