Hope it will get a steering wheel. Vettes never did it for me, but as models they're as good as any other, sometimes better.

It's a good start and nice paint. What's your plan for the wheels?

Thanks Max
Not sure about the wheels, whether to leave the standard ones on or go for something different.
BMF should be here on Tuesday so I can carry on the build then

Looks good Ash, just not sure about the glossy interior.

Re: AMT 1972 Corvette Street Machine
heap hairspray gives a dull sheen Ash, so might look OK.

Never tried hair spray for a flat/satin finish Ash.
I'm interested in seeing your result.

That's a nice body shine Ash. Is that the kind of finish your fancy pants airbrushes give you?
Smart work.

No D my airbrush is out of commission until I get a spray booth.. The paint was £1 gloss black from home bargains with their £1 primer underneath.. Had no polishing either yet.. Just spray and leave to dry.
The mini I did was just spray on too.. I don't polish the models as the paint tends to shine quite nicely without. Mini was Tamiya spray.

Re: AMT 1972 Corvette Street Machine
Update as I'm getting a little slack on this car
Engine wired though wires are a little too long but doesnt matter, Im still learning
First time at using BMF, did the a pillars and the edge of the roof above the screen and the side trims at the base. Tried the stingray badges on the side bit came out terrible so I pulled it off again.

Looking good Ash. I also find that BMF gets harder to use the smaller the part you're trying to apply it to.

Re: AMT 1972 Corvette Street Machine
That's looking good Ash. BMF can be intimidating the first few times and unless you have a well embossed and easy shape it's nearly impossible to do badges. Keep it up!
