Drat the luck. The problem you are going to have with home made decals is the transparency. I have walked that road more than once.

Hasn't Revell reboxed this recently?

They did release it a couple years ago. I think it was in 2013.

I emailed Revel and they are going to send me a set for the all metallic blue version. Could take up to six weeks though, so it's on hold until then.

Re: Accurate Miniatures 1963 Corvette Grand Sport 1965 Sebring 12-Hours
Thanks for thinking of me Max.
I tried clear coating a small part of the stripes tonight and they seem to be holding together. So plan A is to clear coat the rest of them and give them a whirl. If it fails, I can always fall back on the decals Revell is sending me.

When I know the decals are old I always clear coat them. i have had to many really good builds almost go back in the box because the decals fel apart. I hope you get this one straightened out. The build looks awesome so far.

Al if you want to stay with the same livery here are some exceptional decals from HRM. I used this brand on my DX
Corvette.

What did you decide to do on the left rear quarter panel where the molding of the body was short shot and has the void?
I bought another one of these kits recently and I am going to make the roadster version out it.

Re: Accurate Miniatures 1963 Corvette Grand Sport 1965 Sebring 12-Hours
Hi Mitch,
I did eventually get the alternative decals from Revell...... BUT..... I also tried cutting thin strips of ordinary
electrical tape which laid down pretty good even over the arches. Rather than strip and re-paint, I'm
(eventually) going to lay the tape stripes and hope that the rest of the decals are OK, which look to be.
Probably clear coat too.
Thanks for thinking of me though, I really do appreciate that. Do HRM have a website I could bookmark just
in case?
I think I'm probably just going to leave the short shot Mitch, to do anything about it would involve stripping
the paint. May put some fine mesh behind it, painted the same colour as the body to disguise it a bit.
The roadster is a great looking car and I did think about it myself. Any plans to do it in the near future?
